PRESIDENT
The President is the chief advocate and support for the Newman Center and Council. They are the face of the Newman Center and an active representative in the community both on campus and at the Parish. The President is the head of administration and focused on empowering, supporting, and accompanying the Newman Council in their ministerial roles. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Directly oversee and facilitate Sunday Council Meetings
- Accompany and support Fellowship Ministry Prefects
- Meet regularly with Newman Director, Program Coordinator, to develop and support Newman Ministry in the areas of formation, culture, and community
- Engages actively as the Liaison to CSU Sacramento & community parishes
- Engages actively in fundraising and student advocacy

VICE PRESIDENT
The Vice President is an active representative in the community both on campus and at the Parishes. They directly accompany the Office of Worship and are focused on actively supporting the leadership. The Vice President advocates for community service and supporting students through the organization of monthly service opportunities. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Vice President is an active representative in the community both on campus and at the Parishes. - Accompany and support the Office of Worship leadership
- Organize monthly service opportunities
- Meet regularly with Newman Director, Program Coordinator, to develop and support Newman Ministry in the areas of formation, culture, and community
- Empower continued growth and development of Student Mass and S.T.R.E.A.M.
- Support the Administration in their ministerial roles
- Support the President’s initiatives & outreach
- Supports at least One Fellowship Ministry in the growth and development of the ministry on a weekly basis

SECRETARY/TREASURER
The Secretary/Treasurer is responsible for the administrative organization and financial support of the Newman Council and Newman Ministry. The Secretary/Treasurer is a resource to the Council for developing planning tools and managing budgets, and fundraising. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process reimbursements & Petty Cash
- Assist Director & Program Coordinator in budget management
- Accompany and support administrative needs of the Fellowship Ministries and Council (e.g. planning guides, Ministry Reports)
- Manage organizational onboarding procedures (eg. onboarding/off-boarding council members, council key checkout, tracking fingerprinting, safe haven, etc.)
- Keep and Maintain Council meeting minutes
- Prepare Meeting Agendas and Manage Calendars
- Ministry Relational Support (e.g. Thank you Cards, Appreciation Cards, Gifts)
- Collaborative support of the President in fundraising and organizing fundraising opportunities
- Supports at least One Fellowship Ministry in the growth and development of the ministry on a weekly basis
- This Position supports All Prefects
PROGRAM DEVELOPER
Program Development is responsible for bringing engaging and innovative ideas to the Newman Ministry for the weekly programming. This position brainstorms and organizes ministry nights and works with the Fellowship Ministry teams to facilitate the night. Program Development facilitates collaborative dialogue between leaders in order to create fruitful events. This position reports to the Newman Director, Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Research and Development of programmatic resources eg. videos, podcasts, articles, scripture etc.

OUTREACH COORDINATOR
Outreach Coordinator is focused on engaging new students, continuing to grow and foster community, and connecting the Newman Center to the Sacramento area College campuses, Parishes, and City. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Outreach Specialists, and reports to the Newman Director, and Program Coordinator.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Outreach Coordinator is focused on engaging new students, continuing to grow and foster community, and connecting the Newman Center to the Sacramento area College campuses, Parishes, and City. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Outreach Specialists, and reports to the Newman Director, and Program Coordinator.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize tabling on campus and at area Parishes in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministries
- Develop the Newman Center’s presence and visibility on campus and at area Parishes
- Supporting outreach through communication with incoming/new students
- Be actively present in community communication (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram videos, etc.)
- Lead by example: connecting with new students, fostering relationships, reaching out and following up with the Newman community.
- Support Wednesday Newman Nights in the growth and development through personal invitations to students and active community building during Newman Nights.
- This Position supports All Outreach Specialists
ENVIRONMENT & HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR
Environment & Hospitality Coordinator is focused on fostering a welcoming and vibrant environment at the Newman Center and during events. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Hospitality Specialists to develop and maintain the “vibes” and atmosphere at the Newman Center, ministry nights, and tabling events. Environment & Hospitality Coordinator reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.

- Support the planning and facilitation of Wednesday Newman Night ministry
- Set-up, Clean-up, cooking, environment
- Coordinate and facilitate Ministry Grocery Shopping as needed
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the Newman Center when necessary
- Develop, expand, and maintain the environment and hospitality of the Newman Center
- Manage Coffee Bar and support outreach by serving and offering beverages to students
- This Position supports All Hospitality Specialists
MARKETING COORDINATOR
Marketing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all media and communication for the Newman Catholic Center. The Marketing Coordinator is a resource and direct support for the Fellowship Ministries and is focused on the growth and development of media and communication for the Newman Center. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all media and communication for the Newman Catholic Center. The Marketing Coordinator is a resource and direct support for the Fellowship Ministries and is focused on the growth and development of media and communication for the Newman Center. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accompany and support the marketing leadership in their specific roles and responsibilities
- Guide and accompany planning and development of media for Fellowship Ministry Leaders and the main Newman Center social media platforms.
- Flyers, Instagram, Facebook, larger media campaigns, etc.
- Coordinate special event marketing involving The Newman Center as a whole eg. retreats, weekly schedule, monthly calendar, etc.
- Develop strategies targeting optimum marketing opportunities for The Newman Center (eg. lawn signs, fliers on campus, social media campaigns, etc.)
- Provide direct support to the Fellowship Ministries when needed
- This Position supports All Social Media Specialists
