Student Leadership Application

Thank you for considering serving the Newman Catholic Center students at the Sacramento Newman Center as a member of the Student Leadership. We are excited that you are considering living out your discipleship through servant leadership. Please follow these steps to discern if Student Leadership is the right choice for you.

Step 1: Pray

Take time to pray about being a Student Leader.
After quieting yourself for prayer, ask for the grace (gift) of openness and generosity. How is Jesus calling you to serve? What are your unique gifts and talents? What are the needs of the student community? How is Jesus inviting you to use your gifts to serve the needs of the student community?

Step 2: Read

Read and pray over what it means to be a Student Leader and the call to servant leadership
Pay special attention to General Expectations. Are you willing and able to make this commitment? Do you have the time needed to serve the community?  Pray about it. Then, make a tentative decision. 

Step 3: Apply

If you feel at peace and called to this ministry, then fill out the​ Newman Council Application

August 1st - 4th, 2024 
Sacramento Council Orientation:
August 23rd - 25th, 2024
Winter Training:
January 17th-19th, 2025
